Post by blueheaven » Thu Jul 19, 2012 2:40 pm

If someone get very serious ill, which service is better to take among TAXI and AMBULANCE to go hospital? Which one is cheaper way to go almost 5 kilometer distance Hospital in Finland? Is is possible to reimburse money that spent on hiring Ambulance, from KELA? Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks :)

did a quick search and it seems it costs about 10€ for ambulance, but If the patient is very ill or likely to die if immediate care is not given, then your question is a no brainer. By the way, why did you even ask such question? I take ambulance even if it costs x10 more than taxi if me or my wife or any of my family members is very ill.

The ambulance will not take you to hospital unless you're about to die.

Last year we had the ambulance out, and they told the missus to take a taxi to hospital
