Post by Ovizor » Mon Aug 06, 2012 12:50 am

Hi,

In september i'll begin an undergraduate course in logistic and international transport in France and after i'll would like to do a postgraduate course in the same area in Finland (in english language) and then maybe live in the beautiful country. :)

I would like to know if there are lot of work for an logistician there, and if i can hope to find a good job :)

Of course I wish to learn finnish.

Thx very much !

Those two things are quite interconnected, sure there are jobs that don't _demand_ Finnish, but then you have to be even better than those that have Finnish skills.

Usually I would put your chances to learn (enough and in short enough time) Finnish from slim to none, but maybe you should check what Kirsikka did... viewtopic.php?f=9&t=64519

Thanks you Upphew,

Maybe it will be better to learn Swedish ? Because it's an official language too. And it's surely easier than Finnish.

The areas where that would help you are relatively few and small. And they are more culturally insular. You might learn the language but still be unable to find employment.
As he persisted, I was obliged to tootle him gently at first and then, seeing no improvement, to trumpet him vigorously with my horn.
