Please don´t do that, writing in all caps. IT IS ANNOYING to read and it is against the forum rules.
Also, you might want to edit your post a little bit to make it easier to read? More punctuation and spaces maybe?

THEY HAVE APPLIED FOR A SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER FOR ME WHICH WE HAVE NOT YET RECEIVED
And you won't, so stop waiting. Firstly, there isn't a "social security number" - there is an ID number you get thats used for all kinds of things, once you have a residence permit. Getting onto national insurance then again requires working and residing in the country. Secondly, you need to be present with the right paperwork to apply.
I AM ALSO WAITING FOR DOCUMENTS FROM FINLAND INORDER TO APPLY FOR A WORK PERMIT BASED ON EMPLOYMENT
Well fine, if you are a qualified IT professional, you should be able to fill in the right forms. Go to www.migri.fi and read the rules, and do exactly what they require and ask. Don't let your brilliant friend do the "thinking", if they ask for some paper, then you must produce such a paper.
CAN ANYONE TELL ME MORE ABOUT SOCIAL SECURITY IN FINLAND?
Why are you interested in welfare, I thought you said you were coming over for work?

Well, to be in the country, with a residence permit, and be working.

Agreed, next thing he'll be saying, everything's in order for his move to Finland, he just needs someone to accept a cheque for 6000 EUR so he can prove he can support himself in Finland. He'll make the cheque for 6600, so you get to keep 600 for your trouble. But you have to immediately wire the 6000 to another bank account because he can't wait for the cheque to clear. But don't worry, he and his friend are totally reliable, and the cheque is absolutely good.

I am really suspect on filling a country full of IT specialists, your practically useless for everything except office banter!

When you come here and start earning money KELA(social security) will take $$$ for every $$$ you earn, in due time you can apply and prove to KELA that you have been contributing $$$ to them already, and depending on your status, contract period and other details, KELA will either accept or reject your application or give you some form of interim card that gives you some coverage against the price of medicine and other details.

My guess is that your Kela application was classed as spam.
