birth delivery cost in Oulu

I have one inquiry about the exact cost of the birth delivery in Hospitals of Oulu, my wife has not KELA card

Doubt it is much different than elsewhere in Finland. We have had earlier threads about the topic. Use the search function.

There isn't any "exact cost" until after the fact when it is known what was actually needed. Ask the local hospital, but I assume they will charge you about 3000 euro in advance. If things go well, you will get a partial refund, if things get complicated you maybe charged more later.

If you have an EU healthcare card you maybe be better off too, RIP is spot on with the pricing!

I suggest you contact the hospital. There was another foreign couple who gave birth in the spring, they didn't have a KELA card and the hospital gave them approximate prices before the delivery. As far as I remember, if you happen to need emergency caesarean or your wife or child ends up in intensive care, then the price can be extremely high. Otherwise it all depends on the type of pain relief and the overall days you will spend in hospital.
