Nursing entrance exams,pls help!!!

hello guys,

I've applied to study nursing degree programme at JAMK in Finland, I was wondering if someone can tell me what kind of Mathematics test looks like? also i'd love to know some information about written part (essay and motivation questions) is it about write a summary about an essay? and how about group interview? i will be happy to get any answer from you guys,so i could do well in the preparation for this exams,i'm actually not good at math which i have to say that is a great anxiety to me. please help a struggling girl who is so worry about her exams.

My partner did the exam and she said percentages, basic algebra, basic arithmetic and conversions between micro,deci and macro grams etc. And with NO calculator.

Well..thank you for the info.please tell me the exams isn't that difficult as i thought? algebra sounds pretty stressful:(

Why you applied? "Momma told to" -> they can choose better candidate, who has some motivation to study.

Ratio, percentage fraction to decimal n conversion of weight like gram to mg,mcg to mg, kg to mg,ml to litre n vice versa etc

Have you been notified by JAMK that you will take the entrance examination? As far as I know the notification is by March this year. I have just submitted my documents at JAMK through my Finnish fiance yesterday.

No,i didn't. i just wanna to know some information,because i’m suck for math so i need to prepared right now!

Hey thanks for your help last month;) i just got the invitation yesterday,would you please help me to ask your partner about the essay part? i am soo nervous with this one since they don't have any pre-reading material.any information will be appreciate it,thank you again!

hey did you get to pass the entrance examination?? i have been invited for nursing entrance examination by Lapland university and abit worried cause i also suck in mathmatics...kindly share any reading material and exam samples you came across ...thanks in advance

Hey Lilly, where are you going to take the exam?
I am applying for Nursing at JAMK too and will take the exam in Hanoi. I'm sooo nervous!

Just have a good reason why you want to study nursing essay....get 100% in maths and evaluate a scientific article. The Finnish people also get a psychological assessment, so try not to worry to much.

as a nurse, i presume you will be having a basic drug calculation, its very easy, make sure you know how to convert mg to grams or kg, mcg vice versa,with the group discussion probably you will be given a topic to discuss, for eassy maybe an article to write a summary, goodluck,
