UPDATE: My washing machine has slowly started its agonic dance. Soon enough I'll have to sit on it to keep it in place

(Mook, whatever you think- don't say it)
Because you said mook then i can say it! You probably would enjoy it till it explodes
But to be a serious i would change or repair it, if you are engineer and have engineer job that shouldnt be too expensive.

I know I know. As we agreed 3 pages ago that repairing is too pricy (It takes a few h to reassemble the damn thing and put it back together) it would be wiser just to buy a new one.
But yet it is still early. It WORKS, it moved only 5cm. I think it can still serve for a few laundries. It is not yet VERY BROKEN. It is A BIT BROKEN. Though it has a death sentence it doesn't mean it cannot still do me a few favours.
Well yeah, the engineer job is OK but life is generally pricy and I live all by myself in a big apartment. Money is not a problem here, only my heart aches that I cannot spend it on shoes. Or bags. Or plane tickets. Or tank my car and drive to Nordkapp.. etc etc.

Welcome to Finland. Land of drama queens. Always worry about the worst possible scenario, especially if there's little chance of it happening.

That's called "good marketing".

Chin to the chest and towards new disappointments. A pessimist will not get disappointed.

I am an engineer, too, of mechanical engineering.
Let me go back to saying that there is no such thing as a half-broken bearing.
And as you already know why, DO NOT go near that machine while it is operating, as potentially dangerous!

Oh my goodness. I will replace it soon, come on. You know, I might win a Darwin award. Natural selection should do its job here

Oh, I don't know.
I sense a growing, um . . . attachment? A fondness, at least?
As he persisted, I was obliged to tootle him gently at first and then, seeing no improvement, to trumpet him vigorously with my horn.

57 posts on a half broken bearing. It must be important, so I decided to post something as well, just to keep this thread going.

But is the bearing half-broken or half-fixed?

Since Amarulka is an engineer who intends sitting on it, I believe the canonical answer is that it's exactly as broken as it needs to be.
As he persisted, I was obliged to tootle him gently at first and then, seeing no improvement, to trumpet him vigorously with my horn.
