Ok, so its for "people with money" as in Google coming over etc. Not your finger-in-ass guy trying to run a toiminimi and getting money. Theres a huge difference between the two. If you have silly capital or get some venture capitalist to fund you, then Finland is good. look at say Blyk or Muxlim. Otherwise, if you're Rane who does concrete ironing, you're better off buggering off to Estonia and running your business from there.

This reminds me of the documentary on Riot Entertainment Ltd. I don't know how accurate it is since I wasn't there when it happened but it was an eye-opener watching the documentary. I still couldn't believe that this took place in Finland.

I knew a guy who was a coder for Riot. He told it was quite a riot... for the management at least.

It wasn't exactly a new thing really if you look at things, if you look at the "mad years" 1985-1989 when we got the "juppi" phenomenon, the "IT bubble" of the early 2000 just relived that era. Though it was just in one sector of industry collapsing this time, rather than an over-encompassing crash.

Raising hell for mgmt. This sounds like the type of place I can really strive and excel. I wonder if the guy is the father...

So it happened before in 1985-1989 and then 2000. By extrapolation, the next one comes between 2011-2015. Whoa! Where do I sign up for the next Riot?

I think you should have signed on in Greece and you'd have your money in Switzerland by now...

I'm glad it's still not too late to make this investment. I'm catching the next plane to Greece... Tell KELA not to wait up.

They spent money on refurbishing an exclusive four-storey office with gaming rooms, sauna and a theater for 50 people. They built the first games from scratch and recruited 100 people in one summer, and the almost 24/7 workforce was nourished by daily breakfasts and frequent parties.
lol

Not mentioned in the Wikipedia article but in the documentary is what they did in the sauna with 50 people in it.

Wasn't Muxlim not funded by the Finnsih taxpayer (in the beginning and the end)? A nice one for Onkko to make his day.

Finland is happy, as those MNC creates jobs, govt. get their share of tax.... Researcher innovates things, MNC makes money from that, and so on....
