I ended up buying the Sony reader, so I could put what I wanted on it. You might also look at Kobo.

Just go to http://www.amazon.com/dp/B007OZO03M?country=FI and make an order. This is page at Amazon Intl which is for Kindle Paperwhite that they can ship to Finland. Yes, the price is considerably higher but it is on par with local readers using the same technology like Booken (with the same screen part) -- around 150 EUR.

what if you use this company https://www.forward2me.com/pricing
order it from amazon uk to their address. they forward it on to you. price about 25 pounds. since it's coming from the UK there is no extra duty/tax. Amazon will do free shipping to forward2me.
I do not use them myself though, I have relatives in the UK and they hold the parcels for me and I collect when I visit them.

are you sure about the price you got from amazon.com? you ordered something else?
because I just tried with only the paperwhite and this is the result:

Items: EUR 107,84
Shipping & handling: EUR 16,28
Total before tax: EUR 124,12
Estimated tax to be collected: EUR 0,00
Import Fees Deposit EUR 29,79
Order total: EUR 153,91

and for the 3G version (useless)

Items: EUR 154,39
Shipping & handling: EUR 16,28
Total before tax: EUR 170,67
Estimated tax to be collected: EUR 0,00
Import Fees Deposit EUR 40,96
Order total: EUR 211,63

and if you choose to pay with US dollars you save another 4 euro.

150 euro for paperwhite is a good price, european amazon stores sell it for 129 euro.

the power adapter is also useless, you can charge all kindles by usb port on your pc or using a phone charger with micro-usb port.
about the zip sleeve you can order from european amazon stores, normally they have not regional limitations on kindle accessories.

btw, why did you choose the paperwhite and not the normal kindle? I'm only curious, I have a normal kindle

I did notice that Tesco had the Kindle paper white at the same price as amazon - so one option is to visit the UK and buy one in person from Tesco.

I got it delivered to my dads and he posted it here. My paperwhite is brilliant. Love it.

You can read the paperwhite in the dark.
