Post by RSA1 » Sat Mar 02, 2013 9:11 am

Hi, All.

Please, advice, where I can purchase good medical insurance for non-finish speaking person. I have residence permit, but do not speak finish. Where is better to purchase good medical insurance?

Thank you for the answer. But it seems, you did not understand me fully. I have KELA coverage.
I wanted to know about some additional/better insurances. May be "Pohjola"/"If...", like these.
What can yo advice?

Whether or not you speak Finnish or not should be irrelevant. You ask for service in English, and you hopefully get it. I guess you could get unlucky at any of the companies and get bad service due to language issues, but that should hopefully not happen.

There's Pohjola, Tapiola, If, Fennia, and probably a bunch of others. There are a bunch of different insurance companies out there, and most of what they offer will be quite similar. If you already have some other insurance (such as home insurance) at a company, you will probably get the best deal if you get your other insurances at the same company. Also, if you have S-kortti or Plussa-kortti, you could consider the insurance companies that are part of those chains.

I knew what you wanted, to know what you need as extra is to know what you have already, then you know what extra you need.
