Hi everyone, it's my first post. I'm an American who just got his PhD in a quantitative field. My Finnish gf is doing her schooling here, so I'm taking a few months here to see if I can find work, or else taking a job in the US. I've managed to get an interview at a technology company, in sort of a front-end user type role that is looking for good quantitative skills, as well as programming, but not at a dev type level. Basically, I would like to know what kind of interview can I expect? When interviewing in the states, I've received brainteaser type questions as well as more advanced math questions and algorithm type questions. Will I get these kinds of things, or will the interview be more in the "HR" type? Multiple interviews? Should I expect to have to justify why I as a foreigner should be hired, etc. etc.
Any tips you all can give would be greatly appreciated. Please message me if you'd like to get some more details to give better advice. Thanks.

Maybe some type of testing, but of course that depends on the company.
I doubt you will be asked why you "as a foreigner" should be hired. Maybe as compared to any other applicant.
If you have a Ph.D., you may be ahead of many already, and US degrees do tend to have high appeal, especially if from one of the top 100 US schools

Thanks sleepstream. For those wondering with bated breath, no technical problems to solve, just soft questions about background and problems I've worked on.
