If you earn 100 000 you will pay much more taxes than that. (and 65000 seem like quite a high rent)

To start a company, you need budget, to have budget you need savings, to have savings, you have to come out from that loop.
To start a company, you need a business idea. How much you think Rapture Seekers had money when they did this demo: http://www.pouet.net/groups.php?which=2134

And now they stretch their weenies and other people code the Angry Birds...

Depends how rich you want to be?

Disregarding the silver-spoon super rich, Finland isn't a country where you want to get too rich from your own efforts.

Become a Private ( Enterpreneur )Go-Go dancers. They are highly sought in many venues like clubs, private parties and casinos etc

Steps to be one in Finland and the Nordic Countries;
- Locate clubs and casinos in your area that employ go-go dancers and inquire if they are in need of any new go-go dancer.

- Go to auditions for the dancing or make an home made video clips. Wear appropriate go-go clothing on your audition day, if they do not specify what to wear.

- Go-Go dancing is about being sexy and conveying a good time to the club's, private parties or casino's guests.

Many go-go dancers do not work every night but work shifts at their respective clubs, casinos, private parties and bars.

However, becoming a go-go dancer can be difficult if you don't have a few simple steps to get you started on the road to go-go success, but i guess even drunkers steps can be fun.

Moreover, you can stage your own live shows as an Enterpreneur in the cruise ships like, Siljalines and Vikinglines.

Dancing for money on a pedestal and having everyone covet your position as a beautiful go-go dancer can be glamorous.

I hope this can help you in your urge to be rich in social economic system of Finland.

Even in Finland you don't need to be "rich" for that.

So you don't want to start your own business because you don't have any startup money, and feel the chances of success are minimal anyway? Good, don't do it, you obviously lack the spirit right now.

Then go out there, get another job that brings you some money. Not qualified - get a better qualification, go to university, or change your field. Get a side-job. Write a book. Start playing online poker.

Sitting in front of your computer on a Friday evening asking how to get rich definitely WON'T make you any money. Also not complaining about Finland, especially as I don't see the great difference to another country here. No good job = no money, same here as everywhere else. Only thing you can do is start doing something. Instead of being on this forum you could already be learning some new qualification. Go get a book!

Words of wisdom. Finland - and the other Nordic countries - are among the wealthiest on the planet. Obviously the wealth is more shared, than, say in California (or Moscow), and this is not an ideal country for your average struggling billionaire, but plenty of people have gotten rich or a least very comfortable on their own effort. It is true that taxes are high, but they do also buy quite a few things (like, for example, a free university education among other things). And it's no East Germany - if one doesn't like it here in, one is not shot at while trying to leave the country...

Oh, and social mobility is clearly higher in the Nordic countries than in the US or the UK - so your parents' position in life is a much worse predictor of their children's fate than in the Anglo-Saxon model countries. One wonders why.

There is a professor in HSE that used to have this as an example of whats the difference between entrepreneurship in USA and Finland.

In USA you invent s gizmo in your garage, you open the garage door, and theres 100 people queuing up wanting to buy it. Your neighbor comes and congratulates you.
In Finland you invent s gizmo in your garage, you open the garage door, and theres a meter of snow.

... oh wait, theres footprints to the letter box. Theres a letter from the tax office: "since you have invented something you owe 100 000 in tax". theres a letter from KELA "since you are an inventor you need to pay back all your unemployment money, bill 100 000". and a letter from the county planning "since you are using your garage not for the purpose it was planned for, heres a 100 000 fine"... you look up, and across the road your neighbor is grinning.

That's assuming you have a heated garage in the first place.

In the entrepreneurship world, they like to say "go big or go home". They also say that you can succeed in any country but if you have to choose, choose one that maximizes your chance of success. Depending on your ambition level, you can also consider being a lifestyle entrepreneur especially if you have other constraints in life.
