Hi, we have an active and intelligent 11-month old and we need part-time daycare/babysitting for her. We very much want her to cultivate her mind as well as her physical skills, and we want an environment that is natural and helpful for her. Our approach is something like attachment parenting. We believe that children need to explore and then come back to "home base" (usually the caregiver, or a parent) to rest and integrate what they have just learned. What we are trying to do is to provide her with opportunities to explore and a safe, loving "home base". We also set necessary limits (like no hitting other children or no chewing on electrical cords). Other than that, we try to let her set her own rhythm for development. We would like a babysitter with the same approach.

Can you give me more information about your approach to childcare, or whether you look after babies of this age?
