Are you looking for a nanny in Helsinki?

Post by vandang94 » Sun Apr 14, 2013 4:48 pm

Dear Family,

I am Van Dang, 19 year-old, coming from Vietnam. I am studying 1st year in Aalto School of Business. I have been in Finland for 7 months, not much, but still enough for me to get used to the culture and lifestyle here. I am learning Finnish level 3 at school, so I have basic knowledge of Finnish. I am looking for a nanny job. I can work part-time during school year and full-time during summer.

I have quite many experiences with children. I have a younger brother, 3 cousins ( 1 girl and 2 boys). I have been taking care of them when their parents were busy, and for the whole summer. I used to feed them, take the bath for them, help them sleep, teach them read and write, play with them, go out with them. My whole 4 or 5 past summers were with children. I feel that somehow I can keep young and fresh attitude most of the time because I spent so much time with my little sweeties.

Moreover, when I was in high school. I joined CEV organization (Creative-Enthusiastic Volunteers). We worked in Hoabinh children village (to briefly describe about this village: Long long time ago, during war, US army spread one kind of toxic named dioxin to my country. This toxic transfered from parents to children, and many children have had some problems with dioxin since they were born, physical problem or mental problem. Hoabinh village receives those children and help them to develop in a proper environment). What we did was helping teachers with these children. We played with them; taught them to recognize colors, animals, objects; show them how do draw, color, read and write; taught them songs and dance moves. Sometimes we bought candies, milk and organize a music show. After the volunteer finished, sometimes I went back to the village and was extremely happy when those children still remembered me, some even said that they missed us.

As you can see, I have been living, playing and teaching children of various age. I gain some experiences that help me to understand what I should do in different situations. Especially, I love children very very much. I apply for a nanny job because I want to spend time with them, see their naive and beautiful smile. I also want to meet new people, explore new things about Finnish culture and practice Finnish. I am a positive girl, friendly and easy to smile. In my free-time, I love to cook. I can help you with cooking or other housework. I do not smoke, do not drink, do not drive and feel ok with pet.

Contact me through email: ngoc.dang@aalto.fi or phone number: 0468846641, I am happy to come to your home for an interview and meet your family.

Best regards,
Van Dang
