I use this great website to connect with people, give, get and become "better"
My name is Olivier, French, obvisouly expat in HKI for a few years.
I ve worked in very various fields() restaurants teacher, remediation..balbablabla.
Mölkky has found me few years ago and, YES, I am an addict
I am a member of the Helsinki Mölkky Association (HMSeura) and am involved into developing the game, for FUN.
*Few facts
Mölkky is a finnish outdoor tossing game. It is becoming more and more famous outside Finland.
France, Germany, Czech rep. Slovakia, Sweden, Spain, Japan...
Though the finnish championship in pairs take place in Helsinki for the 4/5th time, I am still surprise to see so little excitement and advertising around it.
No support from HKI city, transportation, newspaper advertisement, sponsorship, articles...etc..
As a French man, knowing most of the 20+ associations, there are articles every single week all over the country.
our associationhas around 20 members (so small) and we play for FUN, to improve, have a good time
we wish we had more players, regulars, good, competitors, fun makers, friends
we wish to expand the Mölkky world to everyone on EARTH
*What do I want?
^ help us advertise the SM Duppeli (finnish championship in pairs) taking place in Myllypuro on May 25th
^ make an article about it before hand
^ make an article about it afterwards
^ interview whoever you d like about it: many angles: finnish game conquering the world, gathering and uniting cultures (many nationalities),
fun free game weekly in HKI,
^ your own creativity
* ...?
Why am I doing all this !?
I love this game
why more players: more fun, I guess
why you ? CS spirit, you have some easier access to the press, to make it more known, accessible to more people
I ve posted on several FB pages, CS groups, FB groups about the SM and our cup
MORE INFORMATION: the Helsinki cup takes place every Thursday in Katri valla puisto, next to Sörnäinen, at 17.45
Free of charge, every 2nd Thursday points are counted, the other one is fun practice
