I just received the tax bill from Trafi for my UK diesel car. What is the weight they charge diesel tax on?

Is it

1. Gross weight
2. Minimum curb weight
Or something else altogether? Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks! In that case everything is correct.

My experience has been really good. No need for a CoC or any major changes to the car. Only thing was the rear fog light being on the right instead of left. They did not even do an emission test as I had the MOT certificate. He did pushed and prodded all he could though!
