New Income requirement by migri
Hi
Here is the new income requirement for residence permits from migri
http://www.migri.fi/moving_to_finland_t ... equirement
However i know many cases where the person only had "until further notice" employment contracts earning about 1000 per month and migri allowed their family.

Re: New Income requirement by migri
husband,wife & 2 kids= 31,200 euro/year.
It could seem achievable for a husband to secure a salary like that as an incoming immigrant.

Re: New Income requirement by migri
hi.
I live in Sweden and my spouse in Finland
I applied for Finland RP in July 2012, they rejected in April 2013 it ,because my spouse income is 1495 euro/months and the minimum income should be 1530 eu/m.
we don't have any extra income.
now we want appeal, is they will look at income as old or new income require list?
sorry about my english
thanks.

Re: New Income requirement by migri
Income requirement not needed for family members of permanent residents in Finland.
Re: New Income requirement by migri
I am pretty sure that is not true.bm50 wrote:Income requirement not needed for family members of permanent residents in Finland.
What is the source for your claim?
Re: New Income requirement by migri
Check EU law!

Visa is for visiting, Residence Permit for residing.

Re: New Income requirement by migri
This sounds more as if you don't have any clue.bm50 wrote:Check EU law!
What EU legislation exactly excludes family members of non-EU-citizens that have a Permanent Residence Permit in Finland from the income requirement?
Family members of EU citizens are a different story, but they are not relevant in this thread here.
And your claim about "permanent residents" would also be nonsense for them, since that is not required for EU citizens.
Re: New Income requirement by migri
Did I say family members of non-EU-citizens?
Re: New Income requirement by migri
Noone in this thread was talking about EU citizens, that's a completely different topic.bm50 wrote:Did I say family members of non-EU-citizens?
And as I already said, your claim about "permanent residents" is also complete nonsense for EU citizens - contrary to your false claim EU citizens do not have to wait until they are eligible for registering their Permanent Right of Residence after 5 years before their family can follow.
Re: New Income requirement by migri
Some confusion here sorry! I mean non-EU family members of EU citizens resident in Finland. Anyway EU citizens have to be resident in Finland for 5 years to become permanent!
Re: New Income requirement by migri
You still get it wrong.bm50 wrote:Some confusion here sorry! I mean non-EU family members of EU citizens resident in Finland. Anyway EU citizens have to be resident in Finland for 5 years to become permanent!
EU citizens do not need a registration of their Permanent Right of Residence for getting non-EU-citizen family members to Finland without having to fulfil the income requirement.
Re: New Income requirement by migri
Does anyone know how long the income requirement has been needed to be granted a residence permit in Finland? Has it been a requirement for example for the past 13 years? And what was the amount of income required say 5 years ago?

Thank you for contacting Your Europe – Advice!
As you are an EU citizen, the right of residence of your family members is determined by Directive on free movement of EU citizens and their family members (Directive 2004/38/EC).
In accordance with this Directive as economically inactive migrants, the Finnish authorities may require you to show that you together have sufficient resources for both of you in order not to become a burden on the Finnish social assistance during your period of residence.
In any case, you meet the condition if your resources are higher than the threshold below which the nationals of the host country become eligible for social assistance, or higher per person than the minimum social security pension paid by that country. Sufficient resources can be proved by any available means, including bank statements or pension slips.
The minimum social security pension paid in Finland is approximately 600 euros/month. Thereby, it should suffice, if you have 1200 euros available for each other per month.
You may familiarize yourself with the directive on free movement at the following web-page:
