"Studies" vs. "Family ties" (both B type case)

Post by ommmmid » Wed Apr 24, 2013 10:23 pm

Hi,
I'm a first year student here (RP, type B for studies) and my wife came here with me on family ties (RP type B for family ties), now she is accepted into a university.
Soon we have to renew our residence permits. What sort of application is needed for her? Family ties or studies?
What will be pros and cons of each? (in case it's optional to take one and we can choose...)

She can use either one. But the requirements are a little different.
(family ties: depends on your RP, length, your available money etc.)
(study: own money, study results when renewing, etc.)
If her study takes longer than yours, I would go for study. When you're finished you then can apply for family ties on her RP.
