Buying meat in Helsinki

Hey guys,

I went to Lidl the other day and all i could find was this "grillmaster" meats with a pre-made sauce on it.
I could always wash the sauce off as i prefer plain meat, but could anyone direct me to a butcher or somewhere with plain meat? Anything like beef, chicken, reindeer, pork, fish. I'll eat anything if it had a face.

Cheaper is always preferable, but i'm willing to pay good money for good produce.

i think the city markets and prismas have a larger selection of meats to choose from.

If you're looking for butcher's, here are two that are considered to be the best in town
Reinin Liha at Hakaniemi market hall

But as mentioned meat sections of Prisma, Citymarket and Stockmann's have a good variety and good service, too.

You didn't go to the right section of Lidl. There are selections of regular ground beef and flavorless chicken. Not much to choose from, but cheaper than what other stores have for a similar product.

Unpacked fresh meat is found also in K-supermarkets and S-markets (Typically larger the store, larger the selection). Packed but not marinated meat is also available in smaller ones and certainly was the last time I checked to some extend also in Lidl.
