Hi
Looking for some information regarding the interest of the finnish people car business.
Since the cars are very expensive due to high taxes. Perhaps there would be some interest in buying good used cars with a little lower mileage even if they are imported.
Did some calculating and it seems profitable for both the buyer and the seller(importer/exporter)
Even with the taxes at "Tulli".
The setup would be like this. Going down to Germany to find Good cars, buy them and drive them to sweden. Because there is where i live in Stockholm. Via tori.fi or other sites find a serious buyer in finland and take the car over to Helsinki or Turku.
So looking for information about how the finnish feel about imported cars, which models are most sellable and of course any other interesting information you might have.
It would also be helpful to have someone to work with in finland, so if you are interested in cars and to make some extra money. Let me know. I do not speak finnish which is a downer, altough i speak good english and some german. I get around there.
Why do i wan't to do this you might wonder! I have a lot of free time and like to travel Europe and if it were combinable with some earnings in the process it's a good thing.
Thank you
David

You have calculated that with an expert who knows all the details of that business?Dimpoexpoa wrote:Since the cars are very expensive due to high taxes. Perhaps there would be some interest in buying good used cars with a little lower mileage even if they are imported.

Things like that when running a business that sells used goods (e.g. cars) to private customers in the EU, you are legally obliged to give at least one year warranty.

A friend does something similar. He finds cars (or trucks) advertised in other countries, agrees to buy them, fetches them and sells them here in Finland. There is money in it but you need to know a lot about cars and the market, as well as the tax & legal implications.
