It is very unlikely that you will find a job in that area without speaking Finnish fluently.success80 wrote:Dear friends,

Restaurants and cafes will most likely mean customer service and most of those customers will be Finns. So you need to find places where most of the customers are not Finns or are Finns that don't get bothered by your lack of communication skills.success80 wrote:I am going to move Finland in September.I don't know Finnish. How can i find the job in a restaurant, cafe shop and etc....?

Since you specific asked for the food industry I suppose you have some experience in this sector.
Depending on your skill level and your references it might not be a mission impossible.
(A qualified chef with experience in a Paris restaurant is welcome almost everywhere even without a single word of Finnish and the typical mistreated English of the frogs.)
But if you don't stand out from the crowd it will indeed be very very difficult without Finnish skills.

Sometimes the answer is that the foreign applicant doesn't know their rights or doesn't care about them.tummansininen wrote:What skills do I have that a Finn does not have?
Does a Finnish employer actually want a foreigner for this job?
What jobs can I do that a Finn cannot do?
What jobs can I apply for where I will be the BEST applicant?
Why should a boss choose me instead of a local?
