Recycling Batteries and Other Awkward Items

Post by Halo » Thu May 09, 2013 4:55 pm

Hi,

I have sometimes seen boxes in shops where you can recycle old batteries
does anybody know a place in the centre of Helsinki?

Also I have some old sheets that I need to get rid of, nobody
would want them so I think that I will have to just throw
them away, it seems such a waste though. Is there anywhere
that recycles stuff like this?

Thanks!

Old bedding sheets can be put in the 'energia' bin if your area of residence has one. It's material, so it can go there, then get burnt up and use as some kind of fuel. Whatever they do with it. Create electricity or whatever. No one is going to want old used sheets. I don't know who would want them.
