Setting up business for working permit

I'm not an EEA resident but I have been operating my food stand for more than 1 week until now in Kokkola. I got the license to sell food, hygiene passport and everything needed to operate it. I also got the business ID number, that means I have to pay tax if I earn more than the minimum income level. I think everything is legal and official now and I am still a student.
Actually I want to run 2 or 3 food stand at the same time next year maybe, my income would be higher and I think there are no reasons for denying my working permit application.

So you didn't tell us the whole story.
If you're already here on a students permit and allowed to operate a food stand, you can prove how good (or bad) your business is running and get your RP application approved based on your actual sale figures.

ya, I think it is, but as I mentioned earlier. I mainly work in the summer and save money for rest of the year, so from September to April, I don't work so much. That's why I'm confused now whether I have to earn a solid income for each month or not.

If you can show that in 2013 you had after all costs, taxes, VAT, YEL (21% of your income), etc. at least € 12,000 income left, that will surely help showing that your business is profitable and can result in sufficient income.

The application is processed in two stages:
1. The Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment makes a partial decision on the application. It evaluates the profitability of the business and the sufficiency of income to cover living expenses. The profitability of the business is evaluated on the basis of documents such as the company’s business plan, binding preliminary agreements, and financing. The Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment may ask further clarification from you if the documents accompanying your application are not sufficient.
2. When the partial decision has been made, the Finnish Immigration Service will process the application and make a decision on it. In some cases, you may be interviewed before the final decision, in writing or orally.

But I suggest you submit all your ALV and YEL payments on a timely basis. Otherwise it is unlikely they will be kind to you when you make your RP application.
