DNA, Elisa, etc

Post by hychamaz » Mon May 20, 2013 10:04 pm

Hi everyone and I look forward for your input. I am a permanent resident who is unemployed, hence no credit I assume.. I want to change my phones carrier into my own name since I am divorced now... I am so confused at DNAs and Elisas (Saunalahti's) website that I dont know who to turn to. Would they all take me as a client as being unemployed since in 6 years I have never defaulted on anything?? Any suggestions on companies or companies offering services to the unemployed. I am still home taking care of my 3 and 4 year old so unemployed is far from
m it lol... Same for my DSL, my Plus TV that I heard was taken over by DNA, etc. Any useful info would really be appreciated. Thank u in advance!!

Lol..... U r making as if unemployed arent humans. IF u have been a DNA customer e.g. Welho tv etc. It would ne better if u take their phone subscrpition as u might get qualified for edut (customer benefits)

If you have a personal identification number (henkilötunnus) and no defaults then they'll take you on no prob. Without the identification number something else MAY be required, for example a deposit or going prepaid..

Employment is crucial when applying for a bank loan, not on wireless contracts :)

I just applied for a SIM with DNA and all that was needed was identification via bank account online codes, no questions about employment status at all. Soon after the SIM arrived in the post.
This was a SIM only subscription though (90 cents/month) and I didn't have a phone from them, so their risk is minimal (the usage I could run up before the bill arrives),

was it a 2-year stay or 1 year, that's the only barrier for tempropary residents in getting those phone subscriptions afaik. I use DNA laajakaista (broadband), DNA phone subscription, and DNA mobile net. Since they have this campaign going on, I get to surf on my mobile free fo cost... 512 kpbs with a giga download cap per month. only downside is that after 1 giga download, net becomes slow....

As you are "in the system", as a resident (domiciled, that is), been over 2 years and no "black marks" as in defaults, you should be OK. They might ask for employer etc. but do they check? (Finns are blatantly honest) - as long as you can afford the payments... Problems begin if you default and get into court and get a black mark then all your cards, loans etc. start toppling like a house of cards even if you've paid everyone else OK and are disputing with one.
