I´m searching for a Native English Speaker

Post by Juse » Wed Apr 24, 2013 9:55 pm

Hi!

I´m a 29 year old Finnish guy and I need to improve my spoken English. I can read and write pretty well, but my pronunciation sucks and sound very Finnish. I also need to widen my active vocabulary. So I´m looking a NATIVE English speaker with whom I could meet once in a week or something, depending on schedules. It would help, if you´d like coffee and/or live music, so we could meet at cafes or music gigs and hang out. I don´t like very formal English classes. I live in Espoo, so we could meet at Helsinki or Espoo, both are fine to me. I could maybe pay you some cash, or in exchange, I could help you with Finnish language and be your guide in Helsinki.

I am a native English speaker and I can help you improve your listening and speaking or whichever area in English you would wish to improve. However, I am not in Finland unfortunately. Are you comfortable learning over skype? Actually I am interested in learning spoken Finnish. Please let me know. Thanks.

Hi, Juse,

Let me say that as a Finnish guy you have already done very well with the English language.

I can easily understand you.

Basic English is easy, and then English becomes more and more complex and difficult.

And most English speakers never learn just how complex and how difficult the English language can be!

Feel free to send me a PM if you could have any questions, and I will be glad to get back to you.

Oh, you speak better English than I can speak Finnish, and so maybe I could have some questions for you.

You find a lot of natives to chat with - I recommend "Irish Phil" for elocution lessons.
