Finnish Student Pemit

Post by tintu_mon » Tue Jun 04, 2013 9:02 am

Hi,

I have a question about the application process for Finnish Student Permit for non-EU. While submitting the application, do I need to submit my passport to the embassy? I mean whether they take the passport and return it later along with the residence permit?

Problem is that I am planning on a trip in the meantime and would be needing my passport at that time.

Thanks,
TM

The permits are cards these days, so when you go to the embassy to have your fingerprints they check the passport but as for keeping... they might do. You'll know when you get there

Thanks. I think I'll call the embassy and check before I go.
