which kind of business should non EEA resident startup busin

Post by pinkpig » Tue Jun 04, 2013 11:56 am

Hello
i am just wondering so much about which type of business should i take, hope that you guys can help me.
i have the plan to start up business and i am Non EEA student. is it right that it is impossible for me to set up business without EEA resident presence?
- so if i start up with tomi, then i also need a representative who is EEA resident
- general partnership or limited partnership, whereas the active partnership still need to be EEA resident?
- OY also like that
sooooo......the only one thing i have to do if i want to start up business here is find an EEA resident and they have to join my activities trading?

second thing is i only want to sell online. it is juts a small business that i intend to import souvernier from asian countries to sell in Finand. is it right that however the value and weight it is,i stll have to pay duty and tax becuase i import with commercial purpose?

I can't get my head around your question. You say that you are student in Finland? If you are, you are resident in Finalnd too. Finland is part of EEA. You are EEA resident.

Tomi = toiminimi? Or Tomi = your pal called Tomi (a regular male name)?

You don't have to pay duties or vat for very low values. If the vat would be under 5e, you don't have to pay it. Vat rate is 24% and the value includes s&h. Do the math. Duties kick in at 150e. And it doesn't matter if the purpose of import is commercial or not.

Toiminimi can be shortened to tmi or t:mi.
