Help finding a job in Finland

Well, how is it that I supposedly have no chance without a higher education there? People border hop into America illegally all the time and lots of them end up finding work and make themselves a decent life. Are you saying that a legal immigrant cannot find any kind of job even one as low as garbage disposal or sewage? I'm not wanting anything special, I just want a job to get me by. I plan on studying after I move there, but having a job to support my living conditions is a necessity. I like the realistic view, but I believe that it is not impossible for me. I just have to keep exploring my options and work hard to make contacts, then I'm sure to get some positive results.

You cant compare english speaking countries to a language coded country.
The legislation of finland is against you.
The fins spend years in school learning stuff they will never use.
Just think that when you come here , its like turning up to a scouts awards night and you dont have any merit badges on your shirt and your scout shirt is faded because youve been wearing it so long

The only option to come to europe(finland is just a bedroom), is to wing it over here, use your money making talents to sell yourself.Local business and local citizens investing in you.

Maybe you have missed the points of the last posts. You wont get a work permit to do menial jobs, so there is no legal way for you to work in Finland. You mention illegal immigrants in the US. Finland doesn't really have a black labour market. As suggested, you should wait and apply to study.

If you haven't been, chances are that Finland is quite different from what you imagine in your dreams and that you might not like it.

In the beginning they didn''t accept it but there is a law that says that you applicate like this and they should take it only with your date of birth since you are not a finnish citizen.

Weird story.
The first 8 numbers of the personal identification number (which you supplied) are not unique. Only the last 4 numbers/letter makes the number personal.
In many situations they ask specific for the last 4 digits to prove you're you.

I didn't fully understand her story, but I understood this part as "You can open a business in Finland even when you don't have a personal number."

That sounds reasonable, considering that you might otherwise have a chicken-and-egg problem.

First off, no I have never been to Finland. But why shouldn't I want to hurry up and move? I'm young and have no commitments. I'm waiting to start my life once I am in Finland so I feel a desperate need to get there as soon as possible. Then let your desire make you become good enough to pass the entrance exam at a Finnish university next year, as well as earning enough money in the US so that you will be eligible for a Finnish student visa.
And work hard on learning the Finnish language, so that you will have a slight chance of finding a job in Finland.
This is what you have to be working on hard for achieving your goal.

90 days as a tourist, 90 days back home (at least out of Schengen area.

Learn everything about schengen territory,its the territory that finland is apart of.

Learn about American free visa countries, these are countries that accept you in with US passport for 3 months.

All you need to do is work your stay time to 90 days schengen area , then leave schengen and transit to a visa free country for over 90 days.
Then come back into schengen
You are allowed to look for work whilst in finland, granted your chances are slim by your own merits , but with the help of a business partner, its possible.
Maybe they will also accept you to study at some point.

Ok, for those of you that posted ideas and possible solutions to my problems, thanks. I'm doing a lot of work on looking into all my legit options to move to Finland. For everyone who is calling me stupid, saying I wont make it, and accusing me of not listening to advice, just keep your comments to yourself. I'm on here to gather as much info as I can and I am even listening to all your suggestions. Everyone's input is giving me more to think about when it comes to exploring my options. Also I don't smoke weed, I just refuse to be boring, pathetic, and simple like the people I have grown up around. So far, I think my best option is to look into volunteer work during January and stay there for 3 months as a volunteer. wait -> denied -> hire lawyer (pay), file appeal (pay)
wait -> ..... do acceptance test for uni, wait -> accepted (hopefully) -> apply for new RP as a student (pay)
cancel appeal (no money return)

Assuming any organization might pay money for yet another person without qualifications coming to Finland was plain stupid.

So far, I think my best option is to look into volunteer work during January and stay there for 3 months as a volunteer.

That sounds like a reasonable option - after spending part of a winter in Finland you will actually know whether or not Finland is the country you want to move to.

During that time I will also work hard to get accepted into a Finnish university.

Better do that before - volunteering is often at least as exhausting as a full-time job.

rinso suggested that you'd basically submit (and pay for) a nonsense RP application.
He is wrong in his assumption that you could stay in Finland while that application is being processed.
And a rejected application won't look good when you'll apply for a RP for your studies.

That's nonsense:
Not only will the denied RP cost money and look bad when his student RP application is being processed, an RP application and appeals will also not allow him to stay in Finland longer than the 90 days.
