Noise from heating radiator

Post by ruitobe » Sun Jun 23, 2013 12:20 pm

Hi,
I found this bothersome noise from the heating radiator in my apartment, likes some air flow in the pipe generates it. Could anyone tell how to eliminate it? It bothers me a lot. :beamer:

Rui

At one of the top corners of each radiator there will be a bleed screw you can undo to let the air out. Open it until water comes out, then close it again. You need a square radiator key which you can buy very cheaply from any hardware store.

Very easily done as said -unless you live in a very ancient house and the radiators have been painted over a few dozen times... Anyways, the huoltomies will come and do it if you ask. Which is the better idea as if something happens, like the corroded bits give away and you get a flood - its your fault if you go touch the houses property - they are under the domain of the house, so the huolto will take care of patterin ilmaus.

Come to think of it, as it is the "season" - is this a relatively new thing, and have you seen any paper on the wall downstairs stating something obvious? Like they are draining the heating system etc. etc. and there won't be hot water on x days?

If that is the case, there will be a very hairy huoltomies one morning in your bedroom with that key - so pay attention to those papers. nobody will "tell" you anything.
