resident after 7 months!

finally i got resident permit after 7 months of waiting and fighting .
they interviewed me on phone and ask me some questions and after it 2 weeks they sent the decision to embassy and they told me i got the RP for one year . many people here said i am not going to get it , but i get !
my message to spouse or anybody applied it "never give up" and keep sending any proof to migri about ur relationship with ur girlfriend or wife like tickets flights or hotel papers just proof you lived with her-him as a family .

if anybody have a questions , i will answer you guys ,

Please i want ask you where are you from? i applied resident permit spouse of finnish citizen in embassy Finland in Tunisia since 4 month. the last time i called and they told me i got answer in july.

Nothing in finland is "ins allah" or "thanks for god". Decisions are made by civil servants and not by any religion and to be honest your, or mine, god has nothing to do with it.
If you do believe that your god has influence over your background, ability and decisions you would have bad time in finland.

My problem'? Its your problem. I do as most finns do. Label you as religious fanatic and keep away from you. In nordic countries religion is private matter and if you keep pointing out your religion you will be excluded, shunned etc.
I gave advice that you should stop pointing out your religion because people generally dont care until you rub it on them and thats what you dont want.

I read the "inshaallah" as one way for him to say "I hope", and the guy he was talking to would likely also understand it that way.

Where I come from (in Germany) the word "god" is part of the phrase everyone uses for saying "Hi". There's also no religious meaning behind by the one using it, and even atheists often use this phrase (only people from other parts of Germany often consider it odd).

There are religious fanatics, but there are also anti-religious fanatics. Neither of them is good, and it's best to not bother about a phrase that might originally have a religious background but that is also just a normal phrase in everyday life.

I read it as it is, "if god allows" and thats something rarely used in nordic countries and even then its creator not god. And it will not be used something mundane like school but fatal accidents etc. Survive something they shouldnt. Then it could be "luojan kiitos" what literally is "thanks for the creator" That is used by atheists too and its cultural thing,

I do understand insallah is cultural thing but it clashes with core of finnish culture.

And i have lived, grown and still live near something what is called bible belt in usa, I do have close friends who are highly religious and i do understand what they are teaching.

God helps one who helps themself. And thats core value be you believer or not. That insallah is insult against your own responsibility, you can ask and pray god to something you dont have power over like weather but for something you control.....

A guy from Tunisia uses inshaallah when talking to a guy from Egypt.
There was no Finn involved - that was two people from Arabic countries talking with each other and one used a common Arabic phrase.

So take it easy, and don't start a fight on something that is really not a problem.

What you describe is very specific to protestants.

This is not what Muslims believe in, and even the majority of Christians would disagree with that.

Fighting? Seriously? A whopping 7 months and you consider that fighting? Fighting is being denied and then going on to the courts...... You applied for a permit and waited about the normal time.

Anyway if you are coming to Finland, you should do your best to fit in with the culture here. I am not saying give up your beliefs, but try to understand this isn't s a very religious country. And if you want to integrate and make friends and a life with Fins, not your own kind, then you have to be kind of non religious like.

Just saying.

I have a feeling the dudes who got the permits to come here will make few Finnish friends. Mostly just hang around their own kind and never really integrate. Their children, if they have any with a Finnish woman will. But probably not the posters themselves. See it all the time. Might even see them hanging around the underground at Helsinki Train Station LOL.

Not a problem yet. Starts to make problems when done in presence of Finns, many of whom think like onkko, but don't utter a word, just give the cold shoulder more than before.

I think onkko meant Finnish version of "bible belt". There are areas in Finland where religion is more popular and the sects more extreme. But you'll be hard pressed to see that in every day life. You'll notice that some families are quite large and that they don't own tv, but that's about it.
