Orthodontist in Finland

Post by Mach1nt0sh95 » Sun Aug 04, 2013 6:32 am

I make a new topic for this just in case those previous ones are long gone. Here is my story, so i've been wearing braces for about 2 yrs, starting from the end of 2011 in Melbourne Australia. I was there as an international student, and at that time, i had no idea about going to finland. During September 2012 i came back to vietnam for holidayand that's when i decided to apply for a degree in finland, which will take about 4 yrs. So, i cancelled my contract with my orthodontist in Melb and contact with one in Vietnam just to keep my teeth in line or in progress. I would like to know more about orthodontist in Finland, especially in Lappeeranta as I'm going to study there. What is the price range and would they continue mine or i have to start over again?

You gave up Australia to come to Finland??? *shaking my head* lol. I guess the education is free here.... Would that be the reason? LOL

No idea about the orthodontist. I would guess since you need private healthcare, you should ask them how it works. I can't imagine a dentist starting all over again if things are going well.

So i guess i have to go there and then meet a private orthodontist to know exactly how things are supposed to do then. And yes, i gave up Aus mainly because of the fee free, however, it is due to my family's financial situation at the moment so study in Finland for Bachelor would be the solution, maybe after finish the degree i may go back to Aus for Master one. I don't think the education system in Fin is worse than Aussie, might be in some courses but may not in mine, besides i think it's time for me to be independent as i lived with my sister in Melb. Luckily for me, i was able to skip one year in Aus so i dont have to miss a year or sthing and i just graduated yr12 there and got into RMIT.
