Re: resident permit spouse of finnish citizen
I don't think anyone here can answer your question because it depends on each case.
I'm a citizen of a North-African country, like you, and I also had an interview at the embassy on the same day I applied for a RP on the basis of family ties. I received my residence card a little less than four months after the application, however my husband was never called for an interview so I assume our case was more straight-forward than yours, in the eyes of the immigration office.
All you can do is be patient.

Re: resident permit spouse of finnish citizen
The reason why they sent questions to your wife was that something was not clear from the application - that already increases the processing time.temim wrote:my wife is finish citizen and all papers are good and our situation is so real. my wife just received normal questions in paper come to her home by post adress migri, its not same interview in office. i have my friend same of me and got residence card.TwoThree wrote:I don't think anyone here can answer your question because it depends on each case.

Depending on the details of your case, it can take 4 months or it can take 10 months before you will get a decision.

And in summer migri gets flooded with Student Residence Permit applications.
Student Residence Permit are always treated as urgent, which implies that migri has less resources to process other Residence Permit applications in summer.
Summer is also holiday season, where most Finns spend a month vacations.
i assume your wife used her summer vacation to be with you Tunisia, so not much time should have passed since the last time you two were united.
I understand that you are eager to move to the love of your life and be near to her all the time, but instead of worrying too much about the exact date of getting a decision continue your life just as you did before your marriage until you will get a decision.
A few months more of less of waiting time are nothing compared to the many years you two lovers can spend together afterwards.

They will not think of any bad things.i know my situation is so real and true family. please be optimist in forumonkko wrote:temim wrote: Thank you for all your answers. So i must only wait and it be good.

Re: resident permit spouse of finnish citizen
There is a difference between what you know and believe to be true, and what you can prove to be true.
Also, a little advice: If you've never been to Finland, you might be surprised (and dismayed) upon arriving at how expensive everything is there. I'd strongly advise that you save up as much money as you can while waiting for your permit to be processed so as not to be a burden on your wife and her family. At least not right away.

Re: resident permit spouse of finnish citizen
The fact that you both had to do an interview means that Migri is not a priori convinced it is real.temim wrote:They will not think of any bad things.i know my situation is so real and true family. please be optimist in forumonkko wrote:temim wrote: Thank you for all your answers. It is good to be optimistic, but make sure you have a plan B if you happen to be wrong.
Re: resident permit spouse of finnish citizen
sorry , but you dont know anything you just give your opinion But you dont know anything as i said.onkko
interview doesn't mean they think its fake marriage , however his application if good or bad! alright ? maybe they wanna check something , some information we can never know about migri .. all we say is just guessing !
i just wanna say , "Onkko" they interview me after 6 months and they asked me many questions , and after 2 weeks they give me the resident card !
so interview doesn't mean refuse . or its fake marriage

Re: resident permit spouse of finnish citizen
Look, I'm no immigration expert or anything. Just going by what my common sense tells me: If you apply for a residence permit on the grounds of family tie, more specifically marriage, it seems to me the main criteria that comes into consideration is whether the marriage is genuine or not. Many people enter financial transactions in which a citizen of a given country accepts money from a citizen of another country and marries them, so that the latter can be granted residence. It's a reality, and the job of immigration authorities is to figure out if this is the case or not.
Exactly how do you think they can judge " however his application if good or bad!" as you put it? What kind of information would Migri try to gain by interviewing the applicant or the applicant's spouse, that would be relevant to the case, if not whether they are a real couple or not?
Of course there are other factors at play, like if you are a notorious criminal with an arrest warrant by Interpol, I don't think it matters if you have been married ten years with a Finnish national and have five kids. I doubt they would let you in. But I'm pretty sure they don't need to interview your spouse to figure that out.
