Private healthcare in Finland

Post by planetgirl » Sat Aug 31, 2013 1:26 am

Hi. I would like to know how private health care in Finland works? I want to get private health care for my 4 year old child. Does anyone know what companies offer the best service and prices? How much is the average yearly cost? What is included in most packages? Please let me know if anyone has gone this route and how they feel about it. Thanks!!

First, is your child covered by KELA? If not, then I don't think the FInnish insurance companies have anything to offer for you.

I believe the terms are similar related to the treatment covered, or the fact there is a life time cap (roughly 50 000). There is difference in price and size and type of the annual deductible.
