Hello,
My company moves to a newly renovated building with new furniture, the smell of formaldehyde is very heavy. Now I feel uncomfortable only after two days, headache and nose pain.
So what is the permissible level of formaldehyde in Finland ? Is there an organization in charge of the health of employees ? To whom can I report this situation ?
Thank you.

Your company likely has an occupational safety and health representative - that is the obvious first contact point for you.singlebook wrote:My company moves to a newly renovated building with new furniture, the smell of formaldehyde is very heavy. It also makes sense that you inform your supervisor about it, who might initiate improvements:
Your employer does not want you to have to go on sick-leave, and what you describe does sound as if it would cause frequent sick-leaves for you.
In any normal company I'd expect management to immediately initiate anything reasonable possible to improve the situation when it causes health problems.
