They got those machines in some banks - you need to find a bank you have an account with though, and they'll deposit into your account, in a week, and probably charge for the pleasure... Or then you could go around small shops/kiosks/pubs and ask if they want coins. As they have to pay for the exchange other way around.

Re: Changing coins into notes.
My son had about 200€ worth of coins. We didn't have a machine in our local Nordea, so we put the money into these special bags with our information on them, then into a box. It didn't take a week for the money to be in my son's account. He also wasn't charged anything. But that could be because he's under 18.
If you have a Nordea or Danske account, especially Danske.... They have more of those machines. You put your coins in and it goes to your bank account.

S-Bank at least in Iso Omena (Espoo) had the machine on site and they deposited while waiting and did not charge anything.Pursuivant wrote:They got those machines in some banks - you need to find a bank you have an account with though, and they'll deposit into your account, in a week, and probably charge for the pleasure... When I had the ice cream business I used to accumulate hundreds of coins, sack loads on busy weekends... and Nordea charged our business an arm and a leg (and the rest) to put them in the account. So before you shove it all into one of those sticky bags and chuck it in the big box, I suggest you queue up and ask how much commission they take.Flossy1978 wrote:My son had about 200€ worth of coins. IIRC (it was a couple of years ago) it might have been 3-4% commission.... which was a big chunk out of our margin.
