Hi everyone.
I am moving from Vantaa to Helsinki. I will move my clothes and kitchenware and toiletries by myself using a taxi but I will definitely need help for the following: a 2m couch (the largest thing in my apartment), two chairs, a TV and a TV table, one 90cm table and one 60cm kitchen table (no elevator when I'm now and the couch, the tv table and the 90cm table will not fit in the elevator of my new apartment).
My first instinct was to get in touch with a moving company. I contacted Nienmi and they were very helpful but their rate (190 euros/hour) is just *WAY* too much... There's no way I can afford this!
Renting a van won't be possible because not only do I not have a driver's license but I would need help with the couch and the tables anyway...
Any advice please?
Thank you!

A friend of mine rent one from here:

There is a surcharge for gasoline: 30 cents / km, or you refuel.
There are other similar companies, with similar prices.
I do, yes but I would need 2 persons to help me out with the sofa :/ It's goddamn heavy.

My friend hired a guy with a van from tori.fi, so that the guy also helped her carry her furniture. It was pretty cheap.

Can you please do me a favour and post here the number for hiring someone with a van? All I understand from the website with google translate is that there are ads there :/

I'll pm you the number of the guy who we usually contact for moving stuff. The only problem is he doesn't have an assistant to help you carry those stuff. He owns a van and he drives, but he might not be able to help u carry your things. He also charges a student-friendly price. So if you have friends to help you carry your things, or if u are willing to hire other guys for the lifting services, then just send me a message and i'll give you his number.
