Yes, the tax will be the same.roger_roger wrote:One of my Friend was employed 2 months ago, he sent his Tax card to the employer and informed about it, however while paying the salary the account department deducted 60% tax stating he haven't submitted his tax card. He asked to rectify it and was convinced that will be adjusted in the next salary. However, this month's salary the tax was deducted according to the tax card but the previous deduction of 60% was not adjusted. He is having conversation with his employer about it, but I am curious to know what happens in these kind of situations. Usually when the employer deducts the tax, he'd send the amount to vero, and I guess once the amount is sent to vero, its no more adjustable by employer. The person has to wait for vero to do their calculations and will receive the tax refund.
My question is, since the account department cut 60% stating they have not received tax card, will that be adjusted in the tax refund ?
Employer can't deduct less taxes than what the taxcard says. So your Friend can get new taxcard with lower % and get the money sooner. Or he can wait for the next year's Christmas for present.
