Hyvää huomenta!
I'd like to ask you that particular question: If there is still need for IT specialists?
Mostly I'm interested in Administrators/consultancy area (DBA, DWH, BI etc).
Additionally I'd like to know how much language is required in those jobs. Found it quite hard to learn (but I'm doing my best

) Somehow I hope to be about A2 level the time I'd like to find something
Paljon kiitoksia!
IT specialists: Are they still required?

True Story....few weeks back I got a promise of a offer from a leading consultancy company (Job was related to cloud CRM / Salesforce) the following day a got rejected because of the fact I dont speak fluent Finnish. All 3 persons who interviewed me said that there is no need of Finnish language and that my Finnish skills are way more than enough.

Nokia has just outsourced all i/o operations to India so there is a lot of DBA's out there looking for work. It's gonna be a tough time.
Contacts and networking is your best bet

Sorry to hear that.
Maybe do you know something more? What about MS technologies Administrators? Like Sharepoint?
Or just "casual" Banking Transactions Systems Admins?

Good ones yes, not speaking finish myself and been IT specialist for 7 years here (Not Nokia), Look at the consulting companies large small, some are bit old fashioned but most have a very diverse workforce. After the nokia fallout and others most companies have the hatches battened down at the moment but there are jobs out there. Despite india flooding the market with cheap labour (low quality)
