Moi,
I'm going to get citizenship before usual 5 years, there is corresponding branch in the application stating that: "Kyllä, pyydän, että ilmoittamistani poissaoloista huolimatta saisin Suomen kansalaisuuden, koska minulla on kiinteät siteet Suomeen laillisen ja pitkäaikaisen Suomessa asumisen perusteella, ja varsinainen asuntoni ja kotini on ollut Suomessa viimeksi kuluneet kaksi vuotta alkaen ___"
Any idea, do they mean own property, or rented also counts?

Re: Citizenship application question
You should check section 18 of the nationality act:

The law talks about permanent residence so whether you are owning or renting does not matter. However, be sure to check that you quality for the exemption.
