Power failures in Espoo
We live in Matinkylä. Today we had a power failure for about 10 min. This was possibly around 4th in last 2 months. Not to mention tens of fluctuations occurring on regular basis. The longest has been for around 2 hours. Almost an area in 1km radius is affected.
My question is, is this a common occurrence here? Are other areas affected? And what to do about it, I mean is there an authority who we can complain to?
Thanks.

Powerfailures, especially inside the cities are very rare.
Only the more "in-country" area's get the occasional failure during or after storms

Just don't complain about the hikes in transfer prices as companies are putting more cable to the ground. Overhead power lines and trees don't mix well with storms nor heavy snowfall.rayoflight wrote:My question is, is this a common occurrence here? Are other areas affected? Could it be all the underground railway work causing this? Not had any blackouts in Ymmersta 6km away, but hear lots of heavy duty tunnel clearing, while working in Niitykumpu....

Ok thanks for the replies. I guess nothing much can be done abut it.

I'm in Friisilä, so within spitting distance of Matinkyla and we've not had any outages recently. My guess is it is something to do with the metro.
