How to tell a Finn you love him?

Post by Curious lady » Sat Nov 23, 2013 7:14 pm

Hey guys,

I met this guy and we clicked right off the bat and been talking for a couple of months after he left the US. I'm visiting him in Finland next week for a few days.
I'm really falling in love with him and I want to tell him but I also don't wanna scare him off. Is there a difference in the Finnish culture between falling in love and loving? And do you think I should wait for him to say it first or just go with it and see what happens?

Thank you for reading!!

Yes there is and getting finn to admit that he loves you and waiting for it is like to trying squeeze water our of dry sponge. Thats if you dont tell it first.
Go for it, it only hurts once if he doesnt share your feelings and i assume you dont and cant tell subtle messages what are enough for most finns to tell if one is interested or not and i assume your "bf" can understand it. Telling him that you are in love doesnt hurt more than not telling and living in uncertainly in rest of your life. Man who lived in other cultures should know that its not like with finn with you.
Make it clear, according to foreign people who i know finns are idiots when it comes for telling about feelings.

If you're youngsters: Just tell him you love him. It won't make much difference to what happens or doesn't happen.

If you're oldies: You will know instintively when to tell him that you love him.

Good Luck, have fun in Finland!

We are young (in our twenties) but what did you mean if we are older I would know instinctively?
