Time has come for us to buy a car as we move out of Helsinki. Therefore I would like to ask few questions about cars as this will be our first car (amount I'm thinking to spend is something between 25.000€ - 30.000€)
- What do you recommend as a good/safe car in that range, used or new?
- What are the taxes you have to pay? Is that a fixed fee or is based on the car itself? Is it annual or monthly fee?
- What about insurance? (I guess that I have to ask some companies and get some offers) but what company you have/had a good experience with?
- Diesel or gasoline?
- Are prices negotiable when you buy cars? (I will guess used cars yes, but what about new ones?)
- Does the shop from where you buy the car help's you with the paper work or is your own responsibility? If they don't help, what is the procedure to get the car registered on your name and so forth?
- Can two people own a car? I mean can I also put my wife as a owner 50/50 as it is with a house/apartment?
- What to be aware when you buy a used car?
