The "finnish language requirement" has become so over-used and cliché as an excuse to be laughable... at best.
Yes, but it fits the legal loophole on non-discriminatory hiring, and thus is used as a blanket euphemism.

Its about as blatantly obvious as "people in national dress" or these days "free movement jobseekers from eu" you know exactly who is it the news writes about. (...unless you still are stupid as nobody told you :lol: )

At the end of the day - as you said it is all about money. Hiring someone is always a gamble, and naturally the employer wants to fix the odds.

The post owner used the wrong word.
It's not 'corruption'.
It is, in fact, 'connection' that leads you to job opportunities.
It's true if you're good friend to someone working in a company who can make a reference for you to the boss, you're more likely to get the job.

My husband, for example, is never unemployed coz he's a close friend of his boss's son.
Though his qualification is not excellent but he always has the position in that company.
I could work in his company too if I want, but I'm not interested in that field.
