registering as a self-employed cleaner, is it worth
registering as a self-employed cleaner, is it worth
What are the possible disadvantages of this type of employemnt in comparison with being directly employed?
(I have a customer because of whom this idea came to my mind, and I think I will cooperate mainly with this very customer, but I would like to hear maybe about some "hidden potential problems" if someone knows anything about it).
Thank you!!!!

I guess the self-employed pay more taxes... I am interested mainly only in that.... because otherwise in my case there will be no difference...

Yup. Self-employed also do their bookkeeping, get the work clothes and tools, get insurances, hire someone to do the job while taking vacation or when being sick... did I mention marketing and legal costs?Evaphio wrote:I guess the self-employed pay more taxes... Heh) Yes! In my case, as I have said, the situation will not be different in many aspects.... as I do not need marketing, and a lot of other costs as well. I just would like to change the form of working with the customer that I have been working with... we would agree about vacation, clothes etc etc....
It seems that yes, taxes and other formalities would eat away a lot of money anyways, this is not very interesting)

In personal taxation the tax rates are the same. However, self employed usually have to spend time for example collecting VAT for the state. A rule of thumb is that if you invoice someone 100 euros, you will be able to personally spend less than half that after expenses, pension payments and taxes.Evaphio wrote:I guess the self-employed pay more taxes... Sure he would agree, and then he says "i dont like you" and youre out of job. Remember that you opt out any employee protection.Evaphio wrote:Heh) Yes! You should count about "wanted wage"*1,5 to get that "wanted wage" after all taxes and that doesnt include anything extra like tools.
Also you are out of sick leaves, holidays etc.
If you decide to do this i would recommed "yrittäjäkurssi" what atleast bigger municipalities have.

It's possible to draft a contract with the customer that gives you equal protection (or better) in terms of things like termination periods. However, the customer might not agree to such a contract.onkko wrote: Sure he would agree, and then he says "i dont like you" and youre out of job. Remember that you opt out any employee protection.
