Home insurance

Post by Arif Shah » Sun Feb 16, 2014 4:30 pm

Hi,

I am living on rent in an apartment in Espoo. When I moved in to this apartment, I had to have a home insurance for me to get the apartment. My company paid the security deposit and did the home insurance for me. I left my job last year and now I dont remember the insurance company's name.

It sounds a bit stupid but I am out of ideas how to find the insurance company's name. I tried searching for my past mails but could not find any info. I have sent an email to my ex employer but haven't got any response yet

Any hints will be appreciated

Arif

Let's try this way - how do you know they paid for some (and not just told they were planning to do so)?

Contact your housing company. they might be able to retreive info related to your home insurance.

You could try logging to the web services of home insurance providers to see if you get lucky. Otherwise home insurance is cheap enough that I would just get a new one. I doubt your old employer will keep paying for it (unless their finance department is on auto pilot for it) so either they terminate it or eventually forward you an invoice.

There aren't that many companies

Pohjola
Lähi-Tapiola
Fennia
If

probably do 3/4 of the business

Call them all - tell your problem - give your Social Sec number - and they will come up with a few questions to make sure it is you

If not among those 4 - the last one you try could give you 3 or 4 company names.
