Cheap or free beginners' yoga classes- Where?

Post by Jetsun » Wed Feb 19, 2014 6:14 pm

2 adults of working age looking for beginners' yoga classes- but all the ones in the fancy schools charge a fortune (something like 10-12 euro a session) which is far too pricey about half the week's shopping bill. Usually there are classes in church halls and community centres, they are more about leisure and meeting people than taking it really seriously but they tend to be cheaper or sometimes free. Held in Finnish is ok. We live Helsinki/Sipoo borders but can travel into town and local areas.

anyone of you knows where such a class is held or a website where they are advertised let me know. Thanks in advance!

Check with the local University. Here in Savonlinna I have been to the Uni yoja classes for free.

There are plenty of inexpensive folk's education institutes, such as tyovaenopisto, aikuisopisto.

check for instance

the courses usually start in January so you are a bit late now (or early for the summer term).
