I'm a recent immigrant from California and I'm missing my Mexican food. I've had a burrito here or there, but I'm hoping for some help finding a restaurant that serves food more like what I'm used to from home. If you've been there, you know what I'm talking about

Any suggestions?

Im not from those traditional areas , so i will just call them wraps.
Make your own wraps, but maybe you are also looking for some friends or work.

You won't be able to find authentic Mexican food or even the gringo variety here. Best bet is to make your own.

You are wrong. There is authentic Mexican food in Helsinki. You really need to go to
http://patrona.fi/about/. It is excellent.

Thanks so much catfish78!
Nice website and I can't wait to try their deserts (sic) : Mexican lime pie.... oooooh! And only 6€, not bad.
But, is it a restaurant? Or is it dinner in someone's flat? I don't get the reservation thing and why is lunch in a different place? Kind of complicated set up for a piece of lime pie....

It is a restaurant and not a flat. The reason for the reservations, is that it is quite popular and can be very crowded like any other popular restaurant. As for Cholo for lunch, I have never been there, but I am guessing it is a spinoff of their successful Patrona restaurant and it is geared more to the lunch crowd with faster service.

I second Patrona. I went there with a friend from Mexico and while we were enjoying lime pie he told me how to make it
Anyway Patrona's food is excellent.
Cholo's food is a bit different from Patrona, more street food, but also good.

Thanks everyone for the pointers.
I saw Cholo (and then Patrona) while I was out and about on Thursday night and was feeling optimistic about the food. I just came back from getting a burrito at Cholo and I am very happy that such a place is here in Helsinki and that it was crowded too.
I could nitpick about a couple of things missing, and the menu included some pretty non-traditional choices, but I got a carnitas burrito that really hit the spot. Good flavors and fresh ingredients. I will definitely be back and also will have to try Patrona for dinner some time.
