Metropolia - Nursing Entrance Exam?

Hey yall!

I'm applying to Metropolia's nursing program to Helsinki.. I do have the books and have been studying (at least tried to..) for a while already.

I'm just wondering if anyone has taken the entrance exam and could give some tips. What should I expect? Multiply choices? Essays? How about the group assignment?

So, if you have some inside scoop (or any info!) about the exam or program, please share your wisdom!

I took it last year

You need to read the book really carefully and make the multiple choice in the end of the book. In the net you can also find the online version of this book with a lot of tests. I recommend to do these tests ... the multiple choice test was not easy you really needed to know things well.

There was also this ethical part. The book is pretty horrible and boring. but you need to make an effort and know basic concepts, know what deontology is, the difference between pragmatic and utilitarian approaches (or i do not remember how it was called). and so on so forth. Study it well and try to structure this crazy material.

Group work is always a mistery. Just think what impression you would produce as a future nurse and as a student of this school. Working in groups is very important nowadays. Try to produce the best impression you can.

Finnish was more difficult than I expected with grammar part. They asked about future plans and why i decided to apply to this school in the written assignment .. as far as i remember. You do need to be good in Finnish.

Hello, can I ask do we take part in interview part by Finnish or English? Do we have to interview face-to-face with examiner by Finnish or just have to write assignment?
