Anyone travelling to lapland during weekend?

Hello friends,

We are planning to travel to finnish lapland (mostly to chase the northern lights).
Is anyone travelling there during weekend in the coming few weeks?
We are ready to share the fuel cost.

What nationality are you? And Lapland in one weekend? That's like the American who asked if he could "do Scotland in a day" !

Hi,

I am from India.
I don't have any holiday coming in near future, also I have read somewhere that best time to see northern lights is during the end of march,
so that's why wanted to travel during this time.
I didn't want to miss experiencing the green lights,while we are in Finland

(which until now I have only heard about and saw in pictures that they are so amazing).

I definitely recommend flying and renting a car - it might even be cheaper. I drove from Lahti to Rovaniemi "for the weekend" in the summer and it was terrible. It was really lovely to be there of course, but the drive was horrible - and I love road trips and driving in general. The scenery is the same and mostly one lane roads with no divider or anything. Later in the fall when I told Finns that I did this they thought it was hilarious and it became like a party story "Hey, tell them about the time you drove to Rovaniemi for the weekend!!"

Good luck seeing the northern lights! I still haven't seen them
