Did anybody applied for citizenship 2013

i applied electronically 22.10.2013 i have got an answer in 4.3.2014 . i got the citizenship .

I applied for myself and my elder daughter electronically in October (31.10.2013) and visited the Police the same day for verification. As I was short of one supplement Neuvola document (because I was pregnant) so I went back after a week. At that time I told the lady officer that I may not apply for Finnish citizenship for my other baby, but I am submitting the Neuvola certificate for their record. I also asked the lady officer about how long will it take to get an answer from Migri.

The officer checked my application status from their server and said that my case looks accurate, positive and capable of rapid processing. I was also informed that my application is on top of the queue so I may get a response within 6 months. Finally, she said they will make their statement on my matter and will forward my application to the Finnish Immigration Service in few days. Later on, I checked my online status and noticed that my case was started for processing on 11.11.2013.

Now, after reading your post, I am wondering when Migri will be able to decide on my application and deliver me the notification?

In March 2014, the processing of following applications will be started

Passport holders:
1- passport holders with accurate applications: applications submitted in November 2013
2- other passport holders: applications submitted in October 2013
Applications submitted earlier are being processed or a decision has already been made on the application.

Applications are being processed at the same time in all queues.

I submitted my online application on 31st October but the processing started on 11th November 2013. So I guess I may be hearing from Migri during this month. Let's see what happens!

I was wondering, how long it took until the processing of your application started (changing to käsitteltävänä status)? Then, how long was it in ratkaistavana status, until you got the decision? My application moved to käsiteltävänä about one week after visiting the police and has been in that status for about 4.5 months...hoping to get a decision soon....

Hi congrats! Are EU citizen or did you have a residence permit before coming to Finland? I heard it takes a longer time to process if you do not have a residence permit before entering Finland?

No, I am not (or preciesly - was not). I am from Russia. Good to know that migri does not make decisions based on our gov't actions.

Yes, I got "A" permit before coming to Finland.

Hi friends,

I am really pissed off today. I don't like the way Finnish Immigration works. They have zero transparency and just frustrating.
Applied for Finnish Citizenship in October 2013 online and still the status is "initiated". Called and told to wait...
ohhhhh what an answer. I came to Finland legally and have national passport. No any sort of crime or credit default.
There must be something wrong
