Post by almalino » Tue Dec 10, 2013 10:19 am

Hi all,

I just bought a laser correction operation from silmalaser.ee in Tallin. Anyone have any experience with that clinic?

I would appreciate your experience :)

time for you to share your experience... was it cheap ?
I bought the deal on Groupon.fi for 1600 euros for Femto lasik. In Finland same operation is around 3200 euros. I made the operation 2 days ago and everything is ok :)

You'll be blind by next Tuesday. Seriously - an operation in Estonia??!!
1600 Euros = value 7 times as much in Estonia, so that's like the Estonian surgeon / laser-cutter-operator getting 11,200 Euros into his mitts.
On the other hand, lists of surgeons' competency are hard to find - even in Finland and the UK!
Laser surgery for eyes = bad idea - can't be corrected. Glasses always the better solution.

"I heard in Hungary you can get it done around 400-600 Euros for both eyes"
Ah, yes, Hungary. That's the place where they nick your luggage, at Budapest airport. Come home, empty bags.
Anyway - isn't that exploitation of the poor? Not very loyal towards Finnish eye-laser-slashers...

" Not very loyal of what? saving your money? " - not very loyal towards Finland, the country who has provided all your Social Security.

True, I could not find any review or feedback of that clinic in Internet. However, I studied that they operate for more then 10 years already and I could not find any negative message about them. So, I decided to try and I am very happy with the result. Clinic looks very clean, expensive furniture, good service and operation went very well. No complains.

1 months since I made the operation and my vision is perfect now :) No need for glasses.

Also, I made the most expensive operation FEMTO lasik. You could do it cheaper if you choose another type of operation.
